About Role:

  • The candidate will be expected to perform FEA structural analysis using MSC/ANSYS where the entire process must be covered, i.e. from data/information acquisition, CAD data pre-processing, model build, to the analysis and final presentation.
  • Initiating and running as simulation project lead and co-Investigator of one or more major projects (or a number of minor projects) to meet internal and external customer’s timescales and to complete the work within the budgeted allowance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain specific CAE/FEA methodologies for HVAC Residential/ Commercial product lines.
  • Interface with overseas CAE/FEA groups on product development and optimization studies
  • Mentor fellow CAE/CAD Engineers and Designers
  • Develop relationships and communicate with fellow CAE engineers within the global organization with the purpose of knowledge and workload sharing
  • Testing / Simulation coordination: conduct correlation studies between FEA and lab testing for improvement and verification of FEA models and improvement in accuracy and consistency of lab testing of test components or system/sub-systems.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • MS or M.Tech degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Aerospace / Engineering Science) from a recognized university with 6-8 years of experience.
    • Providing expertise in the field of HVAC Modelling particularly in FEA- structural analysis, vibration and fatigue analysis.
    • Familiarity with nCode design life fatigue analysis will be a plus.
    • Vibro-acoustics and NVH analysis is a plus
    • Thermo mechanical analysis is a plus
    • Passion for HVAC Residential and commercial  technology and simulation
    • Strong background in dynamic analysis including vibration, fatigue and Numerical Methods
    • Understanding of HVAC, heat-exchanger and climate control systems
    • high communication and interpersonal skills
    • highly driven, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience in embedded software/Firmware Testing for HVAC control applications from concept through to production.
    • Working knowledge on IBM RTC, RQM, JIRA etc.
