About the role

This position is for a Procurement Specialist who will be developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing suppliers and handling projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned products, consistent with global or local procurement plans

• Negotiate agreements with suppliers for raw materials within the value of spend

• Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources, milestones and measures for projects

• Communicate with key stakeholders on projects to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities

• Manage supplier and their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality

• Create local/regional/global savings opportunities

• Support the delivery of working capital targets and creditor targets for the site

• Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds

Requirements

We are looking for people who are experienced in purchasing and possesses excellent communication skills. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Diploma or Degree in Business or Engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant purchasing experience

• Good understanding of purchasing processes and systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Effective cross-functional team member with good conflict resolution skills

• Good team player

• Strong negotiation skills

• Customer focused and results driven

• Proficiency in MS office
