About the role

Leads team of intermediate to experienced Accounting professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on execution of general accounting processes, such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and / or balance sheet management. Develops and explains accounting procedures, and control processes.

Role Responsibilities:

• Owns the actuals reporting, financial statement analysis and reporting activities
• Owns the full control environment for SOX reportable entities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with management and shared service centers
• Ensure compliance with VAT and statutory tax requirements
• Ability to communicate and influence key Business Partners, Controllers, Finance Leads and external parties
• Responsible to oversee, identify, communicate, and resolve financial and internal control matters
• Provide key support to Global Tax, internal and external auditors, and external service providers
• Preparation of Annual Accounts and transfer pricing documentation with service providers
• Responsible for management quarterly certifications, B/S and P&L analysis, and other reporting deliverables.
• Supervises accountants and / or support- level employees for a small organization to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
• Oversees activities related to general ledger preparation, government accounting activities, and / or projects, to assure timely completion and accuracy of accounting activities.
• Provides detailed financial analysis for a small-sized organization's operating results and proposed activities, and presents the analysis to management, in order to keep management updated and informed.
• Oversees implementation of monthly and quarterly financial and compliance processes, to ensure that all compliance requirements are adhered to.
• Develops and explains accounting policies, procedures, and control processes to ensure that policies are clear and understood by all.
• Oversees and implements medium-scale projects.
• Supervises internal and external audits, to ensure compliance and timely completion

​Minimum Requirements:

• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
• Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
• University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR  Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
