About the role
This professional plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and efficiency of IT projects within a company. They work closely with finance, operations, and development teams to manage costs, resources, and performance. You must have some experience at creating budgets, forecasts, and tracking project financials to ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget and time frame. Furthermore, a Cloud FinOps Sr. Analyst collaborates with technical teams in designing, developing, and executing IT projects while ensuring adherence to financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Analyst - FinOps Cloud Tech, you’ll be responsible for:
Delivering using tools: IBM Apptio (Cloud ability) or other similar tool stack
Assessing and evaluate cloud cost optimization and right sizing opportunities.
Assessing anomalies with respect to cost per account being drilled to Resource level and analyze spike in usage.
Providing inputs for dashboard view of overprovisioned and under provisioned instances to evaluate cost savings opportunities.
Performance tracking and benchmarking
Cost analysis and management
Usage measurement and monitoring
Tool Management
Centralized license usage and tracking
Data driven insights & reporting.
Supporting preparation of financial forecasts and budgets for IT projects, ensuring resources are allocated properly and timelines are met.
Analysing current and historical financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
Collaborating with IT and business teams to devise financial and operational strategies that align with overall company goals.
Continuously improving FinOps processes by identifying new tools, technologies, and methodologies for financial management in IT.
Act as a liaison between IT and finance departments, facilitating communication and collaboration on financial matters
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
2-4+ years of experience in cloud computing, cost management, and data analysis.
Certifications in FinOps, cloud technologies, or related areas is preferred.
Practical knowledge in software tools is beneficial.
Technical expertise in cloud platforms
Knowledge of financial management
Project management skills
Good communication skills
Advanced English (required)
