About the role
As a Senior Manager – Manufacturing Digital Solutions (HVAC MES), you will lead the strategy, modernization, and deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across Carrier’s Mexico manufacturing operations. This role is critical in enabling digital factory transformation, supporting new product introductions and production transfers, optimizing manufacturing performance, and driving the migration from legacy MES platforms to Carrier’s global MES framework.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and digital teams to ensure manufacturing systems support production efficiency, quality compliance, traceability, and operational excellence across multiple plants.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager – Manufacturing Digital Solutions (HVAC MES), you'll be responsible for:
• Defining and executing the MES strategy and roadmap for Carrier Mexico manufacturing facilities.
• Leading the modernization, deployment, and support of Manufacturing Execution Systems while ensuring operational stability and business continuity.
• Driving MES implementations, upgrades, and integrations with SAP ERP, quality systems, automation platforms, and shop floor technologies.
• Supporting manufacturing initiatives including new product introductions, plant transfers, process changes, and digital transformation programs.
• Partnering with plant leadership to identify opportunities for productivity improvements, quality enhancements, traceability, and operational efficiency.
• Leading cross-functional global and regional teams responsible for MES development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
• Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and resource allocation for manufacturing technology initiatives.
• Driving adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies including automation, PLCs, robotics, industrial IoT, AI-enabled solutions, and smart factory initiatives.
• Establishing governance, best practices, standards, documentation, and training programs for MES solutions.
• Delivering measurable business outcomes through improved OEE, throughput, cycle times, quality performance, and manufacturing productivity.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Manufacturing IT, Smart Manufacturing, or Digital Factory initiatives.
• Strong expertise in MES platforms, manufacturing operations, production processes, traceability, quality systems, and shop floor technologies.
• Experience leading MES deployments, modernization programs, and integrations with SAP ERP and other manufacturing applications.
• Experience managing large-scale digital transformation projects within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and PMO practices.
• Experience evaluating technology investments, including hardware infrastructure, CAPEX, OPEX, and total project costs.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• Experience with Carrier Manufacturing Execution System (CMES / ATOM) or similar enterprise MES platforms.
• Knowledge of Ignition, PLCs, industrial automation, robotics, Industry 4.0, AI, and Industrial IoT technologies.
• Experience supporting HVAC manufacturing operations or other high-volume discrete manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and governance within manufacturing systems.
• Experience leading global manufacturing transformation programs.
• Valid U.S. Visa.
