About This Role:

UTEC, Inc. (Fort Wayne, IN) seeks an experienced, results-driven Sr Assoc. Supply Chain Management professional for its Control Box Division. This on-site role supports the production of control boxes for HVAC and refrigeration markets.

Job Description: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, scheduling, production, customer service, quality, sourcing, finance, shipping/receiving, engineering) to ensure effective supply chain operations.

  • Manage assigned commodities: plan, procure, and expedite components to meet sales and production schedules.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery through accurate purchase orders and schedule agreements.

  • Analyze MRP and SAP data to support inventory goals and supplier performance, including generating reports and conducting root cause analysis.

  • Resolve Accounts Payable issues promptly to ensure timely supplier payments.

  • Address supplier quality concerns and coordinate returns for defective materials.

  • Support management with assigned projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of Buyer/Materials Planner and Accounts Payable experience OR Associate’s degree with 5+ years of Buyer/Materials Planner and Accounts Payable experience OR High School diploma/ GED with 7+ years of Buyer/Materials Planner and Accounts Payable experience

  • 3+ years strong MRP and inventory management skills

  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Self-motivated, results-focused, and able to work both independently and in teams

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.

Pay Range:

The annual salary for this position is $80,750–$113,250.  Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
