We are seeking a technical and passionate Sales engineer to join our team to provide customer-focused sales engineering & training support as we scale globally. In this position, you will work closely with the sales team, channel partners, as well as functional teams at Carrier and suppliers / partners.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Engineering Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Product Knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of existing Air conditioning product line-up (RLC & VRF)
  • Competitive benchmarking
  • Working closely with product management and sales teams to identifying gaps
  • Working closely with engineering teams
  • Participating in new product introduction
  • Sales Tool Development
  • Proofreading technical inputs to sales tools like Catalogues, product AVs, manuals etc.
  • Developing and participating in improvement of technical tools
  • -Selection software, diagnostic tool or other software either with suppliers / partners or own developers
  • -Plan and spec tools, benchmarking tools to pitch against competitors
  • -Attending and supporting technical seminars
  • Supporting exhibitions and trade shows
  • Sales Engineering:
  • Providing day to day technical support to sales teams
  • Developing technical materials for sales team
  • Supporting on projects design
  • Technical training:
  • Developing & improving exhaustive material together with suppliers / partners
  • Supporting execution for annual training calendar:  Employees and channel partners
  • Developing ‘train-the-trainers’ across geographies
  • Developing training center layouts and supporting execution: Own and channel partners

As a minimum you must have:

  • Individual should possess the capacity to work in a dynamic environment and demonstrate the ability to use decision-making abilities and technical capability to assist in meeting customer needs across dynamic regional market segments.
  • Foundational skills for this role include general HVAC design and application principles, project management, speaking in public, general engineering aptitude.
  • Strong communication and multi-functional influencing skills to align suppliers, engineering, sales, marketing, product management, after-market, and leadership team.
  • Ability to collaborate with global team members across time zones.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management.
  • Technical, product and application experience in HVAC industry required.
  • Strong written communications, presentation skills in English, business level in Japanese required
  • Focus on details to close out issues for the team with a strong sense of urgency, quality, self-initiative, and customer satisfaction orientation. While also being able to lead multiple priorities.
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Engineering license or University graduates, technical discipline (preferably mechanical or electronics) with 3+ years of experience – preference for HVAC segment
  • Modular chiller knowledge appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Digital marketing or service experience appreciated but not mandatory.
