About the role

Established Design Engineering professional. Carries out design engineering activities, conducts design analysis, makes layouts of components, designs new products, maintains existing products, and resolves design problems.

Role Responsibilities:

• Reviewing project documentation such as equipment shop-drawings, mechanical plans and specifications to identify any equipment compatibility issues and design discrepancies.

• Read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets.

• Review project drawing and specifications do quantity takeoff from the tender drawing or RFQ.

• Reviewing project documentation to create IO list including controller and Sensor selection as per customer design standards.

• Preparation of Technical submittal, Including Data Point Schedule, Bill of quantity, Schematics, Sequence of Operation, Compliance statement, Project Schedules, shop drawings for Different Control Solutions as per the project design pertaining to Consultant/Client requirement

• Preparation of Costing sheeting and creation of SAP ECC quotations/CRM opportunities

• Writing sequence of operations based on HVAC/BAS principles based on design requirement following standards

• Completing each assigned task focusing on inside & outside customer satisfaction and specification compliance

• Issuing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals for supplied systems.

• Coordinating design requirements with the Application /Sales/Operation team

• Prepare selection of VAV and CAV using the software.

• Preform 2D design drawing for approval VISIO/AUTOCAD drawings for Controls/BMS Documentation

• Attend Internal/external meetings with the Sales/Project team to collect information from the contractor/customer.

• Participate in BID NO BID Meetings

• Register daily activities and report the same in weekly calls.

Role Purpose:

• The main role of the Controls Application Engineer is to prepare quotations, submittals, Estimation, assist in Pre sales process for Controls/BMS Projects and Contracts under the framework of Carrier Ethics & Compliance, EH&S policy & Quality Management System and Approval Matrix.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation)

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar industry

• Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC Controls/BMS products/ Chiller Plant Manager its mandatory

• Total Quality Management and ISO Process & Procedures

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

• Team player, excellent  negotiations and Computer skills

• Working experience in ALC product will be an added advantage

• Proficiency in English, Arabic will be an added Advantage

• Communication skills

• Customer focus orientated

• Analytical skills
