About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst role supporting our Abound Energy & Operations Solution business under Carrier Building Technologies. This position will be based in Bengaluru, India, and will report to the Finance Manager of Building Technologies Business. This position will serve as a key member of our Building Technologies Finance team to manage Abound Energy and Operation Solutions P&L, working capital, and cash functions and provide support to leadership in various strategic initiatives and business support. This position is responsible for providing financial guidance to business unit leadership to achieve annual financial performance targets, ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies/procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a key finance business partner and work closely with business management and operations to drive financial performance improvements.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.
• Financial planning and forecasting for the global entities and periodic review with the team
• Oversee the reporting of accurate and timely financial information for the abovementioned business.
• The role will be involved coordinating with key stakeholders in business and global Finance and will request interpersonal and communication skills.
• Regularly review / analyze key performance trends (orders, backlog, market growth, share, revenue coverage, sales, profitability, pricing etc.
• Drive system automation, develop finance metrics based on the requirement from the business.
• Key stakeholder to support the business development and projects with necessary financial analysis.
• Understand and communicate the risk and opportunities of the business.
• Review new business proposals, including capital investments, and provide recommendations.
• Provide technical, financial subject matter expertise to the business leadership team.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and investigations as requested by leadership.
• Responsible to discharge the legal entity finance requirements.
• Be vocal in driving an ethical culture in support of Carrier policies and procedures.
• Drive a culture that embraces and strives for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 5 to 8 yeas in financial planning and analysis with good experience into finance, accounting controllership or a related role
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Understanding of Accounting principles and Standards
• CA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Strategic and forward thinking; outstanding judgment and integrity; attention to detail; strong sense of logic; accountability for results
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present his or her recommendations effectively and drive actionable results in the organization.
• Proven track record of establishing a strategic business partner relationship with general management and functional leaders of a multi-divisional organization.
• Solid interpersonal skills, including ability/desire to communicate (verbal and written) and collaborate across all functions and business unit levels.
• Ability to quickly identify new and innovative processes and ways to work faster and simpler.
• Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable, solution driven.
• SaaS, Software, IoT business or finance experience are preferred.
• Prior FP&A experience is a preferred.
• Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), ERP, and Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge in SAP, S4

• Adaptable, detail-oriented and works well within a collaborative team.
• Flexibility and coordinate with the teams onsite and remotely
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques.
