About the role

Carrier Qatar is seeking a highly driven and experienced Commercial Applied Equipment Manager to lead our applied HVAC equipment business. This role is responsible for managing sales performance, driving strategic business growth, and delivering innovative HVAC solutions to commercial and industrial clients. The successful candidate will oversee key account development, pricing strategies, forecasting, and coordination with engineering and operations to ensure customer satisfaction and business profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Manager HVAC, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Leadership

Lead and manage the sales strategy for the commercial applied equipment (WC chillers, AC chillers, air handling units, FCU, etc.).

Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and key stakeholders in the HVAC industry in Qatar

  • Team Management

Lead, mentor, and support the applied sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs.

Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance technical and commercial capabilities.

  • Project & Pipeline Management

Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation through order booking.

Monitor project status, timelines, and risk to ensure successful deal closures.

  • Commercial & Financial Oversight

Ensure profitability through effective pricing, margin control, and value-added solutions.

Coordinate with the finance department forecasting, budgeting, and revenue tracking.

  • Customer Engagement & Technical Support

Provide clients with technical consultation and commercial proposals.

Collaborate with engineering and factory teams to ensure solution alignment and technical feasibility.

Act as a focal escalation point for customers.

  • Market Intelligence & Reporting

Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Generate regular reports on market share, sales performance, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are as a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 3 years in managerial or leadership role.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of applied HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, BMS integration). ( Knowlagent in all HVAC system CHW & DX is preferred ).

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business development and key account management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

  • Experience with the Qatar market and its regulatory environment is highly desirable.
