Duties and Responsibilities:

The Poland Payroll Lead role functions as the main payroll lead within Carrier Poland liaising between the different business units, ADP support teams, our employees, and vendors.

Reporting to the EMEA Director of Payroll the Poland Payroll Lead will lead a team of 3 payroll specialists and be accountable for delivering the on time and accurate payroll for 1300 employees as well as the on time and accurate reporting to governmental departments whilst maintaining a world class controls environment.

This highly visible role will possess the ability to lead a team effectively while assessing the business needs and addressing the technical and functional requirements to perform the task. Identification of process improvements within defined Shared Services standards is critical to mistake proofing the local payroll processes.

Other functions include:

  • Motivate team members by creating an environment that facilitates respect, teamwork and open communication.
  • Preparation of legal declarations, PIT forms, and ZUS settlement documentation
  • Drive issue ticket resolution with our payroll partner ADP
  • Manage, report and mistake proof escapes & turnbacks
  • Support of country legislation and local compliance
  • System upgrade coordination, testing and QA with our payroll partner ADP
  • Change Request management with our payroll partner ADP
  • Support regional/global initiatives; execution of process/continuous improvement
  • Support International Assignee population (hypo tax, data collection, etc.)
  • Oversee/Process stock transactions
  • Access reviews on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure compliance
  • Participate in and/or lead internal/external audits
  • Vendor management
  • Project management where required


  • Expert knowledge of country and localized payroll legislation
  • GlobalView/SAP payroll experience – Poland experience preferred
  • Management of shared services preferred
  • Leadership experience
  • Vendor management
  • Integrations / project support
  • Data Collection/Conversions
  • Time & Attendance knowledge
  • System upgrade coordination, testing and QA
  • Ability to reconcile & support Finance to troubleshoot GL queries
  • Expert analytical skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (excel, word, etc.)
  • Proficient in English (speak & write)
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential data


  • In-country equivalent payroll certifications/qualifications required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
