This position demands practical approaches to challenging situations, utilizing expert knowledge of Sensitech products and services, and an appreciation of customer environments and food industry complexity. The SE needs to understand the roles and responsibilities of all groups responsible for the life cycle of a customer engagement and be capable of selling the full solution represented by hardware, software, infrastructure, service, and support.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Sales in sales calls with potential new customers

  • Support Sales with onsite and online demos

  • Make initial contact with potential new customers.

  • Develop appropriate leads into opportunities and feed information on potential project scope into the pipeline.

  • Understand the scope of customer projects and pitch effectively to new customers, selling benefits of what Sensitech can do for them.

  • Generating proposals and follow-up materials for customers to convert sales.

  • Manage Real-Time pilots with new customer pilots. Work closely with assigned Program Manager in pilots with existing accounts.

  • Identify opportunities within existing customers to grow revenue

  • Manage all sales-related activity records to provide clear visibility of all accounts for reporting and team working purposes.

  • Understand features and benefits of Sensitech real-time products including software platforms, hardware, and mobile applications.

  • Develop and maintain great relationships with Product teams to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Sensitech’s current and future products.

  • Work closely with Account Managers to support new sales and maintain relationships with existing customers.

  • Liaison with customer support, implementation, and technical teams.

  • Any other reasonable duties which you may be requested to perform from time to time by your line manager.


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience developing and maintaining excellent long-term relationships with customers and colleagues

  • Track record of winning and developing business to meet sales targets

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to understand and articulate the benefits of Sensitech products and services to the customer

  • Able to manage own workload and the workload of others effectively to deliver results

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • High level of energy and commitment

  • Technical aptitude for software-hardware solutions and how they might be adapted to solve customer problems

  • Tenacious, confident, and self-motivated

  • Able to motivate and manage others to deliver objectives

  • Willingness and ability to work outside usual working hours to meet the needs of the business

  • Full driving license and up to 50%-60% travel required.

  • Located near a major US airport.


  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements

  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards

  • Attend a scheduled EH&S training program

  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans

  • Recommend improved EH&S practices.
